Giannini 900 - 1970

Acquired on the premises of the Presley estate during the first week of June 1979, the guitar has since been in the sole possession of the radio industry executive who received it from Elvis' uncle, Vester Presley, inside the gates at Graceland.

Susequent research has determined that the guitar is a Gianninni, manufactured in South America, circa 1971 or '72.

Made of Brazilian rosewood, the guitar was fairly inexpensive at the time, but this uncommon model is acknowledged today for its warm, resonant sound.

According to Vester Presley's account in June of '79, Elvis had a few of these in his entertainment room for impromptu jam sessions with his friends.
